Kick off this Valentine season with a night of wine, chocolate, and mingling at Pourtal Wine Tasting Bar in Santa Monica. Pourtal will be offering happy hour all night for Green Drinkers consisting of $5 beer, $6 wine and 20% off wine tasting.  Pourtal is committed to stocking only sustainable or all natural wines and their menu supports the local farmers market.

Pourtal has been nominated for the 2012 Sustainable Quality Award (SQA), an award program hosted by the Chamber of Commerce - in partnership with the City of Santa Monica and Sustainable Works.  Their sustainable initiatives include stocking a high proportion of “Nature Wines” that are beholden to the commitment of sulphur-free and organic grape growing, or drawn from the culture of “Bio-Dynamism”. Their menu supports the local farmers market.  Furthermore, recycled glass countertops throughout, FSC cedar wood, sustainable hardwood tables, dual flush toilets, soy stain concrete floor (no chemicals use to preserve), all glues and paint low VOC, waterless urinal, LED and fluorescents when possible, self service filtered water (no bottled water, sparkling or still).
