Griffith Park 1st Annual Environmental Film Festival
As a part of a park-wide Earth Day celebration, the Sierra Club presents a series of environmental films. Hollywood celebrities, local politicians, environmental leaders, kids and community members to participate in activities and discussions. Event is free to the public.
Hosted by the Sierra Club and the Autry National Center
Speakers and VIP guests to include: Ed Begley, Jr., Alexandra Paul (Baywatch), Louis Alvarado (honorary mayor of Griffith Park), Councilmember Tom LaBonge, John Gray (CEO of Autry Center), Ron Silverman (Senior Director of Angeles Chapter of Sierra Club), Tom Politeo and Jesse Marquez (Wilmington Coalition)
Saturday April 21st: 11:00 festivities begin, and first film shown; 12:00 opening ceremony: 4:00 panel discussion.
Sunday April 22nd: 11:00-5:00 films and celebrity presenters; 4:00 panel discussion.

Saturday, April 21st, 2007 is the eve of Earth Day!
It’s time to show our Mother Earth some love through Art and Music!
Participating artists will explore topics of climate change and how we
can live more eco-friendly lives!
Besides the abundance of visual art from over 40 participants, each
artist will create one unique piece expressing the evening’s theme along with many environmental
organizations joining in the festivities to educate our patrons on how they can make a difference
right here, right now!
Join us from 6-7pm for a live slide presentation of "An Inconvenient Truth" by Nick Karno of the climate project.
"A Convenient Solution" by John Davis and Marc Barusch a story of Dave Deppner (planter of 50 million trees)

Sustainable Cinema
Santa Monica Public Library presents Four films that examine the relationship between humans and planet Earth. The films will be shown monthly from February through May, 2007. All films will screen in the Martin Luther King Jr.Auditorium in the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard.

The final film in the series, Fast Food Nation, will screen on Wednesday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m.
