LA Green Drinks has Green Drinks! (volunteers requested)



LA Green Drinkers,

At long last-
LA Green Drinks is proud to announce that this Thursday we will have finally have Green Drinks at Green Drinks. Square One Organic Vodka and Steaz Organic and Fair Trade Energy Drinks will be available behind the bar at this Thursdays LA Green Drinks in Culver City. Many thanks to Square One Vodka and Steaz for making this happen!

Volunteer Request
Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering at this month's LA Green Drinks in Culver City. We need volunteers to politely sign in people at the door and would like for anyone with a digital camera to take some photos. Last month having volunteers worked better than I could have possible have hoped so we will be asking for interested participants from here on out.

Finally, April not only has Earth Day on the 22nd, but it is quickly becoming Earth Month with several events, lectures and festivals in the coming weeks. Be sure to look through our expanding Announcments section further below-

Sustainable Cinema
Santa Monica Public Library presents Four films that examine the relationship between humans and planet Earth. The films will be shown monthly from February through May, 2007. All films will screen in the Martin Luther King Jr.Auditorium in the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard.

Al Gore’s film An Inconvenient Truth will be shown on Wednesday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m.

The final film in the series, Fast Food Nation, will screen on Wednesday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m.

This program series is cosponsored by the Environmental Programs Division of the City of Santa Monica. These programs are free and open to the public. Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis. For more information, contact the Santa Monica Public Library at (310) 458-8600; or visit

Take a hike to the Hollywood Sign for climate change!
Hike up there through Bronson Canyon, from Canyon Drive in Hollywood.
April 14, 2007 1:00PM to 3:00PM
Drive north up Bronson Avenue until it bcomes Canyon Drive. Continue up Canyon Drive until it becomes Brush Canyon Trail. At the end, the road enters the gates to the park which is at the bottom of Bronson Canyon. Either park up here, or keep driving on Brush Canyon Trail until you reach the car parks on the right or later on the left. Now it's time to take a hike up the dirt trail until we're all underneath the Hollywood Sign.

Earth Day on the Promenade
“Earth Day on the Promenade” in Santa Monica on Saturday, April 14, will bring Earth Day to a Southern California premier shopping and entertainment destination. A free event for the whole family. Estimated attendance at least 13,000 upscale shoppers and entertainment seekers, plus about 2,000 environmentally concerned people, for a projected total of 15,000. It will be one of the hundreds of Step It Up events nationwide (www.StepItUp2007.org). It will be carbon neutral.
