LA Green Drinks - 1 year anniversary! Culver City, October 5th

LA Green Drinkers,

Come celebrate the 1 year anniversary of Green Drinks in Los Angeles!
Over the past year we have become one of the largest Green Drinks chapters with still plenty of room to grow. Thanks to all of the LA Green Drinks volunteers who have helped make it such a success!

We expect to continue to improve our events next year while making our get togethers even more fun and informative.

For those of you who missed last months Green Business Training at the UCLA Faculty Center, it was a terrific session.

The instructor, Burton Hamner, has extensive knowledge and experience in both business and improving environmental performance. He will be offering the course again but if you can't wait there is an incredible CD he has put together that contains over 500 PDF documents covering all topics related to Green Business.
It is available from his company website for $45, I highly recomend it.

The Sustainable Organization Series
The Marshall School of Business and the USC Center for Sustainable Cities have teamed up to provide The Sustainable Organization Series. These programs are designed to help companies understand how to build sustainable organizations, address systemic issues, align greening efforts with business strategies, and improve your bottom line. Sign up today for one program or all four in The Sustainable Organization Series starting October.
I. Building a Sustainable Organization
Learn strategies to take your organization to the next level of sustainability. This program will help you define a sustainability vision, understand the latest sustainability approaches, evaluate green-value networks, metrics and more.
II. Sustainability Strategies for Investors and Firms
Pressure to become more environmentally and socially responsible is becoming more financially relevant to firms and investors. In this program learn how to tackle these issues head-on for larger profits, happier employees, reduced costs and more.
III. Greening the Supply Network
Ever expanding global supply networks coupled with climate change present significant sustainability challenges. This challenge demands radical innovation in the reduction of materials and energy used throughout the product lifecycle and value chain. This program will help you to align greening efforts with business strategies when supply chains are global.
IV. Greening Buildings, Facilities and Infrastructure
Green building strategies require a marriage of environmentally sound and high performance design to create facilities that give increased productivity, sales, and highly efficient life-cycle cost performance. In this program you will learn about the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) system, how to change existing facilities to boost productivity and lower costs, and more.
