LA Green Drinkers,
This month's Green Drinks has snuck up on us!
Tomorrow is the first day of June and the first Thursday of the month so it's time for another West Side LA Green Drinks!
Start your summer off right by meeting your fellow enviros for a drink.
2 additional points-
1. Be sure to see the best synopsis of man made Global Warming to date-
An Inconvenient Truth
www.climatecrisis.net
and bring a skeptic.
2. East Side LA Green Drinks needs new organizers.
Hannah Dvorak-Carbone is expecting a baby (congratulations!) and Diana Pangestu is going to Graduate School (congratulations!), so the East Side needs help running the Green Drinks.
Please contact me if you are interested.

PLUS East Side LA Green Drinks co-coordinator Hannah Dvorak-Carbone has a terrific volunteeer opportunity at the Children's Nature Institute-
On Saturday, June 3, 2006, the 16th annual Kids’ Nature Festival will host more than 3,000 young children and their families at Temescal Gateway Park in Pacific Palisades—and we need more than 300 volunteers to make this critical fundraiser a success! Proceeds from the Nature Festival benefit CNI’s science and nature programs for underprivileged pre-K through 3rd graders.
The Kids’ Nature Festival features dozens of activity booths, live concerts by Dan Crow, great food, live animals, gift shop, silent auction, and more!
With varied, fun volunteer positions (like face painting, arts & crafts, activity booth supervision, admissions and event administration, to name a few), there is a job to suit every talent. Volunteer shifts are 9am-1pm, 12:30pm- 5pm, and 3:30pm- 7pm. Volunteers who work more than one shift receive a free lunch. Volunteer positions are also available on Friday, June 2 for event preparation; June 2 shifts are 1pm-3pm and 3pm-6pm. Volunteers 12 years and older are welcome; Community Service Credit is available.

Carbon Neutral West Side LA Green Drinks Thursday!
LA Green Drinkers,
This month's Green Drinks has become Carbon Neutral!
What does Carbon Neutral mean you ask?
Becoming Carbon Neutral means that you have neutralized the effect of your greenhouse gas emissions, so that your activities no longer contribute to the dangers of global warming.
Clean and Green has agreed to sponsor this month's Green Drinks and will neutralize the event through the use of Green-E Renewable Energy Credits (RECs).
www.cleanandgreen.us
Thanks to Traci Spencer of Clean and Green for making this happen!
This months Green Drinks will follow a terrific all day event-
The 3rd annual Alternative Building Expo
check out their website for more details
www.altbuildexpo.com
Keep in mind Green Drinkers have been staying late so be sure to head over after AltBuild. We hope to see you all day on Thursday!
